Urban Armor aGAINST sOCIAL OSTRACISM

The Red Dress Fashion Show, held annually at Oregon State University, serves as a platform to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS and educate attendees about the challenges faced by individuals living with chronic diseases. My design for the 2015 show, the Urban Armor Red Dress, was conceived as a symbol of resilience against social ostracism, particularly for those living with HIV/AIDS—an illness that remains widely misunderstood. As a queer artist, this cause holds significant personal importance to me, and I am committed to fostering greater awareness and understanding.
